Isolated rain in T.N.

CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over south interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep and Andhra Pradesh.

The following stations recorded very heavy-to-heavy rainfall in centimetres: Bhagamandala (Kodagu dt) 17, Linganamakki (Shimoga dt) 13, Kottigehara (Chikmagalur dt) 12, Agumbe 10, Talaguppa (Shimoga dt) 9, Sringeri (Chickmagalur dt) 8 and Kammardi (Chickmagalur dt), Karkala and Siddapura (both Udupi dt) 7 each.

FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over interior Karnataka and at a few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thunder shower likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Karnataka and Ghat areas of south interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

FARMERS WEATHER BULLETIN FOR TAMIL NADU AND PUDUCHERRY (Valid until Saturday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
