Varsity-Flextronics pact

CHENNAI: Anna University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Flextronics, Singapore-based electronics manufacturing services major, for launching a collaborative programme, Tech@Campus, to develop technology-based curriculum to help students find employment in the electronics manufacturing industry.
“There is an urgent need to develop talent to meet the needs of the technology industry. The Tech@Campus programme is a community-based initiative to tap talent. Through interactive media such as elective discipline, workshops, seminars, industry visits and internships, students will be continuously updated on the state-of-the-art technologies used in the electronics manufacturing industry,” Richard Wong, vice-president, Human Resources, Flextronics Asia, said after signing the pact with Vice-Chancellor D. Viswanathan.
