Natwar’s plea dismissed

Staff Reporter

NEW Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed petitions filed by the former External Affairs Minister, Natwar Singh, and his son Jagat Singh seeking directions to the Centre to provide them all documents collected by it relating to the oil-for-food scam in Iraq in 2006. Dismissing their plea, Justice B. D. Ahmed of the Court said: “In view of a Supreme Court ruling that accused persons can make claims for supply of only those documents which prosecuting agencies rely on for their prosecution, I cannot hold otherwise. Their plea is dismissed.”
