AppLabs on global expansion

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: City-based independent quality management and testing company, AppLabs, has announced multi-million dollar expansion plans that include addition of facilities here and in the UK, apart from scaling up the headcount to 2,500 before the end of the current fiscal.

At a press conference here on Thursday, Founder Chairman & CEO Shashi Reddy said the major part of the investment would be between US $ 3 to 5 million exclusively for the new 1,000-seater testing facility and training centre to handle 200 trainees here.

The UK facility would cost slightly over US $ 500,000, he said.

He said the company had shown strong growth and the last two quarters witnessed an increase, both in business, and customers in the USA and UK markets.

The expansion with a facility in the UK was in tune with the company’s plans to open up and be ready to take on European clients.

Senior Vice-President, Marketing Adam Ripley said the UK testing facility would be located near its Head Office in Preston and the first in a series of facilities to come up in the next 12 months, across UK and Europe.
