Varanasi: Seven policemen have been suspended on different charges, police sources said here on Friday. DIG of Police Dinesh Chandra Vashistha suspended Om Prakash Kushwaha, Md. Jamil, Komal Yadav, Hansraj Dube, Sarbjeet Singh and Devanand for allegedly extorting money from truck drivers while on patrol, they said. Another personnel Ram Avadh Seth was suspended on charges of complicity with drug peddlers, they said.
