PJR, Sashidhar meet Digvijay

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Dissident Congress MLAs P. Janardhan Reddy and M. Sashidhar Reddy met AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh on Thursday night and brought to his notice the refusal of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to implement some poll promises.

The two leaders mentioned a few instances where the Government had not gone ahead with its promises like initiating action against the Imax theatre management for flouting the land usage regulations and the delay in completing the Krishna Water Phase III to supply drinking water to the city.

HUDA board

They also reportedly brought to his notice the delay in constituting the board of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority and the wrong signals it was sending to people.

Pointing out that it was unity in the party alone that had brought the Congress back to power in the State in the 2004 elections, they reportedly reiterated that attempts to sabotage their image would not augur well for the party in the next elections.

Mr. Digvijay Singh conferred with Dr. Reddy, his political advisor K. V. P. Ramachandra Rao, and APCC president, K. Keshava Rao, in the presence of the two MLAs and advised them to sort out their differences, if any.
