Chirec posts win

HYDERABAD: Chirec Public School scored a 3-0 win over DRS School (Kompally) in the boys’ section of the inter-school team championship in the St. Paul’s High School State Open table tennis tournament here on Friday.

Raman, Vishwak score centuries

Centuries by Venkat Raman (108, 15x4) and Vishwak (118, 15x4) were the highlights of the A-division (two-day) league cricket match between Budding Stars CC and Khalsa CC which ended in a draw here on Friday.

The scores:

A-division (two-day) league: Budding Stars CC 238 (Venkat Raman 108) drew with Khalsa CC 269 (Vishwak 118).

Kosaraju CC 189 (Ravi Teja 43) drew with Telangana 304 for nine (Md. Mansoor 99, P. Sandeep 61, Shiva Kumar 40).

Red Hills beats BYSWA

Red Hills defeated BYSWA 3-1 in the hockey tournament organised by Sports Coaching Foundation (Masab Tank) under lights here.

Raman struck twice and Sai Kiran once for the winners, while Omer reduced the margin.

In another match, AC Guards recorded a 4-2 victory against Chintal Basthi with Subhan, Qurrum, Wajid and Omer striking once each.

Ganesh Singh and Mahender Kiran netted one each for the losers.

Nav Bharath scored a 2-1 win over Independent with Rohit Kumar and Vishal being the scorers. Santosh Kumar reduced the margin.
