Call for strict vigil to check human trafficking

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: Adilabad Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar has called for strict vigil on the part of policemen at field level to curb human trafficking.

Inaugurating a two-day training programme for constables, head constables and Assistant Sub Inspectors at the Armed Reserve head quarters here on Friday, Mr. Anil Kumar said it was sad that flesh trade, as part of human trafficking, existed in society.

He said provisions of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act and certain Sections of the IPC could come in handy for curbing flesh trade.

The Superintendent of Police also spoke on the role of drugs and kidnap of children in human trafficking.
