Students want principal replaced

KORAPUT: Students of Government Women s College of Koraput on Friday demanded that their principal Balabhadra Das be replaced.

In a letter submitted to the ADM here, they alleged that Mr. Das was unable to reach the college in time daily as he was staying in Jeypore, 22 km from the district headquarters and therefore unable to take classes regularly.

They also sought a probe into the alleged irregularities in the purchase of library books over the years. Despite spending huge funds, the library hardly had any books for the students, they alleged.
