Man held on the charge of murdering his friend

BHUBANESWAR: In a fit of rage, a person allegedly killed his friend at Sriram Nagar area of Salia Sahi on Thursday night.

The city police on Friday produced Bisu Dakua in court on the charge of murdering Bhagaban Goudu. Both Bisu and Goudu hailed from Sorada area in Ganjam district.

According to the police, the two persons had come to the capital city to eke a living as daily labourers. They even stayed together. On Thursday evening, differences cropped up over preparation of dinner. Both were stated to have drunk. Suddenly, Bisu attacked Bhagaban with a scissors and the latter succumbed to the injuries on the spot.

Hearing a shriek, other slum-dwellers gathered and caught hold of Bisu and handed him over to the police.
