Eviction stayed

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday stayed the proceedings to evict two resorts in Munnar. Justice S. Siri Jagan passed the stay orders on writ petitions filed by Fort Munnar owner and the proprietors of the Dhanyasree Yatri Nivas. The petitions challenged the eviction notices issued by the revenue authorities. The Dhanyasree proprietors also challenged the revenue authorities’ decision to cancel its pattayams. — Special Correspondent
