Search on IG’s office completed

KOCHI: Vigilance teams completed the search at the residence and office of Inspector General (IG) of Police and managing director of Kerala Books and Publishing Society Tomin J. Thachankary. The searches, conducted following registering of a case on amassing disproportionate assets, began at 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday and went on till midnight. Searches were made at the residence and office of Mr. Thachankary and residences of his immediate relatives. Documents related to investments made by the family was collected by the search party. The report on searches would soon be filed before the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Director Upendra Verma. A first information report had already been filed before the Vigilance Special Court, Thrissur, on Thursday. — Staff Reporter
