Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee and the victims of the alleged police excesses of Singur and Nandigram in West Bengal who arrived here on Friday were given a warm reception. The former arrived by flight from Chennai and the latter came in the Kerala Express. They were received by C.P. John, K.R. Aravindakshan and Dinesh Trivedi among others. She will attend a meeting being held in the Press Club on Saturday. In the evening the members of the affected families will be taken in a procession from the Secretariat to the Martyrs Column where a public meeting will be held. It will be addressed by Ms. Banerjee and CMP leader M.V. Raghavan. — Special Correspondent
