Priorty for research at deemed varsity

KOLAR: Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, which has attained Deemed University status recently, will give priority to research, its pro-chancellor Gurumurthy said. He told presspersons that the new status had enhanced the responsibility of the institution. While the State Government had proposed increase in pay scales of the Government and autonomous medical colleges, the deemed university had already implemented it from June 1, 2007. — Staff Correspondent
