Hindu College to introduce M. Pharmacy

GUNTUR: The Hindu College of Pharmacy here has joined the select list of colleges in the State offering a two-year M. Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) course. Admission into this course commencing from this academic year (2007-2008) is through a common Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) to be conducted by the Osmania University on July 29. The last date for submitting the filled-in application forms is July 14. Students who had qualified in GATE-2007 can directly apply for this course.

The college has got the nod from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to start the course, on the basis of a report submitted by a team of professors from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Chairman of the Hindu Colleges High School Council Mandava Radhakrishna Murthy told reporters here on Friday. The Hindu College of Pharmacy is the 13th college in the State to introduce M. Pharmacy course. The in-take would be 10 students and classes were likely to begin in the second week of August. The College also applied for permission to start a 2-year course, M. Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Established in 1999, it had been offering a four-year course in B. Pharmacy and a two-year course in Diploma in Pharmacy.
