Samadhan scheme

All registration offices in Chennai Central Zone will function on Saturdays till July 23 to enable property purchasers to make use of the ‘Samadhan scheme’.

According to an official, the Government had announced that if there was a difference between the guideline value and the assessed value of the property, the purchaser would be given an option to pay 60 per cent of the disputed portion of the value and get the documents. The official said the Government’s move was to clear hundreds of documents that had piled up owing to differences in guideline value and assessed value. Registration offices in Anna Nagar, Villivakkam, Triplicane, Kodambakkam, Ashok Nagar, Purasawalkam, Mylapore and Perimedu would function on Saturdays.
