Multiple accident causes traffic snarl

KOCHI: A multiple accident involving five lorries and two cars on the seaport-airport road caused traffic disruption at Civil Station Junction on Friday morning.

The police said the accident occurred when the driver of a tanker lorry tried to overtake vehicles waiting at the traffic signal.

The lorry hit the side of a car coming from the opposite direction and the driver lost control over the vehicle. The lorry then hit the tail end of another lorry before ramming other vehicles waiting for the signal.
