Hangal to be felicitated

PANAJI: Goa Directorate of Art and Culture in association with Goa Kala Academy and a local musical group “Geet Shakun" will felicitate 95 year-old legend of Hindustani classical music Dr. Gangubai Hangal on Saturday evening.

Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will be the chief guest for the felicitation function while Speaker of the Goa Assembly Pratapsinh Rane will chair the function.

Mr. Manjo Hangal of Hubli will be a special guest on the occasion.

There will be special vocal recitals by Veena Hangal and Dnyaneshwar Varang, Hubli.
