25 injured as bus falls into ditch

CUDDALORE: Twenty-five persons were injured when the bus they were travelling fell into a ditchat Paravalur near Vriddhachalam on Friday.

The bus, on its way from Coimbatore to Cuddalore, hit the parapet of a culvert and the rear portion fell into the ditch. The front wheels got disengaged.

The injured were treated at the Vriddhachalam government hospital.

According to the bus driver, Rajendran, the mishap occurred when he gave way to an oncoming truck.
