11 ABVP members detained

NEW DELHI: Eleven members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) including the Delhi University Students’ Union vice-president were detained on charges of vandalising the Aurobindo College premises at Malviya Nagar here on Friday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) Anil Shukla said the incident took place around 11-30 a.m. when the ABVP activists broke some flowerpots and doors of the college. They were protesting against an alleged demand for money made by a college official from two students seeking admission.
