IAS officer’s wife petitions Governor
BANGALORE: After filing a complaint with the Karnataka State Commission for Women against Chief Secretary P.B. Mahishi, J.N. Jayashree, wife of IAS officer M.N. Vijaya Kumar, has now written to Governor T.N. Chaturvedi saying that she fears for her husband’s life and the safety of her family, as he has been transferred to Belgaum.
Mr. Vjaya Kumar has been in the news for being transferred seven times in nine months. In her letter to the Governor, Ms. Jayashree said she and her family needed protection since her husband was being transferred for having exposed corrupt officers. — Staff Reporter
