Hoteliers to take out march

Kochi: The Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association has protested against what it calls the step-motherly treatment being meted out by the State Government to the hotel industry. At a press conference here on Saturday, the association’s president, K. Kuriakose, said the association had demanded that certain categories of hotels be exempted from value-added tax. The association members would take out a protest march in Thiruvananthapuram on July 10 to press its various demands.
