Public Relations professionals meet

CHENNAI: Public Relations (PR) professionals in the city discussed communication and how it affects the social system at Hotel Savera in Chennai on Friday.

Sundara Rajan of the Indian Bank talked about how ‘Traditional PR still remains strong’. Writer Sudangan spoke on the topic ‘How much communication is too much’. Mr. Sundara Rajan defined public relations as delivering accurate, consistent and timely communication to the right audience. Mr. Sudangan said that cultural invasion had resulted from communication without authenticity

Geetha Shankar, Chairperson, Chennai Chapter, Public Relations Council of India, and S.G. Rajan, Vice-Chairman, spoke. The Public Relations Council of India conducts bi-monthly meetings for the benefit of young professionals in the industry.
