Ramanuja Pedda seer of the Tirumala temple felicitated

17 Vidyapeetha students presented with certificates

TIRUMALA: Pontiff of Pejawar Mutt Sri Visweswara Theertha Swamy said the TTD management is doing a laudable service for the upliftment of weaker sections thus bridging the social inequality, besides promoting the Hindu dharma.

Participating as the chief guest in the “Nyaya Sudha Mangala Mahotsavam’, organised by the Bangalore-based Poorna Vidyapeetha at the TTD’s Asthana Mandapam on Sunday, the seer said that the decision of the TTD to establish gurukulams in all the districts in the State is a timely and welcome move.

He said that the entire credit goes to TTD Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy, who is taking great pains in giving a concrete shape to all the schemes, including the much appreciated Kalyana Mastu and Dalit Govindam.

The seer also felicitated Thiruvengada Ramanuja Pedda seer of the Tirumala temple as part of his Sathabhishekam celebrations.

Later, the swamiji also attended ‘Poorna huti’ of the two-day Vishnu yagam at Sri Varahaswamy guest house.

Earlier, the swamiji felicitated 17 students of the Vidyapeetha for completing their twelve-year course and presented them with certificates.

Prominent among others who participated in the function include TTD Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy, Executive Officer K.V. Ramanachary, Joint Executive Officer G. Balaramaiah, besides others.
