Three auto-thieves arrested

NEW DELHI: Three young men have been arrested at Kapashera here for their alleged involvement in over two dozen cases of auto-theft.

A police team recently conducting a routine vehicle check at Rajokari Mor signalled a white Maruti car to stop. The occupants of the car -- later identified as Raj Kumar, Deepak and Usman -- tried to flee, but were caught. A loaded firearm and two knives were seized from them and they were arrested, the police said.

During interrogation, the three purportedly confessed to their involvement in several cases of auto-theft. Ten stolen motorcycles have allegedly been recovered at their instance.
