‘Green card’ for donors at Srirangam temple

TIRUCHI: Those who donate at least Rs. 1 lakh to the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam will be given a ‘green card.’

The Board of Trustees has sent the proposal to the Government, chairman M. Venkataraman told reporters here on Sunday. The card holders would be eligible for special ‘darshan.’ The Board would reprint a few volumes on the temple authored by V. N. Hari Rao and published by Sri Venkateswarara University three decades ago.

Some modifications would be made in the queue system so that the devotees could circum-ambulate the ‘sanctum sanctorum.’
