FCI official is alive, says family

GHAZIABAD: Claiming that Food Corporation of India official P. C. Ram is alive, his wife on Sunday said she was hopeful he would return safely. The Assam police earlier said the ULFA had killed him.

Talking to PTI on telephone, she said Mr. Ram spoke to her on Friday evening and told her the ULFA wanted two of its arrested leaders freed in exchange for his release. — PTI
