Plea to strengthen MEO set-up
HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Mandal Educational Officers’ Association on Sunday urged Government to reinforce the MEOs set-up so that primary education could be strengthened.
At a district meeting held here, MEOs from across the State discussed their problems in achieving primary education targets which is the basic need of the hour. Kumar R.S.S. Thote, president, chaired the session, speakers expressed distress at the continued ‘neglect’ of MEOs, as they had a vital role to play in successful implementation of Government schemes at every level.
The association resolved to organise a State-level convention to be addressed by Chief Minister and Education Minister with a view to finding solutions, P.Anjaneyulu, general secretary, said..
