KOZHIKODE: The Perambra Block Committee of the Youth Congress has alleged that the CPI(M) was engaged in violent acts in an attempt to divert public opinion from the corruption and dissension in the party. At a press conference here on Monday, Tiruvallur Murali, State secretary of the Youth Congress, alleged that the party had given the list of the guilty to the police in connection with the attack on the Youth Congress block committee office in Perambra. The Youth Congress wanted the Home Minister to intervene and direct the police on the action to be taken and bring the situation under control. It was also alleged that the police was acting in a biased manner.
