Correction

In an item “Appeal to Government [by Central Organisation of Tamilnadu Electricity Employees]” (“Briefly,” Tamil Nadu, July 9, 2007, page 8) a sentence was “There were 25,000 vacancies in TNEB, they said, adding that only by filling these posts the requirement of 1.85 lakh consumers could be met.” It should have been 1.85 crore consumers. – Readers’ Editor
