ANANTAPUR: The supply of subsidised seed groundnut against witnessed problems in different parts of the district on Monday, even as the officials kept about 1.3 lakh quintals of seed ready for supply. Farmers and others were injured at several places in the jostling, stampede and lathi charge. At Brahmasamudram angry farmers ransacked a jeep belonging to Agros, one of the seed supply agencies, and detained the official of Agros, Tehsildar for more than an hour after the seed supply coupons were exhausted shortly after the noon.
