CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has chalked out a Rs.1,073-crore plan envisaging strengthening, widening and four-laning of roads besides construction of by-passes and railway over-bridges, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here on Tuesday after reviewing the working of the PWD (B and R) Department. He disclosed that a loan would be obtained from the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB). A proposal for constructing three railway over-bridges and nine road works worth Rs. 338 crore has also been sent to the NCRPB. Mr. Hooda directed Commissioner and Secretary (PWD) K.K. Jalan to make efforts to get the proposal cleared from the NCRPB so that the works could be speeded up. He also directed the officers to complete all ongoing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sarak Yojana (PMGSY).
