Panel sought

The Coimbatore MP, K. Subbarayan, on Tuesday demanded that an expert committee should be constituted to probe into the use of poor quality pipelines in the Pilloor drinking water supply scheme. In a statement issued here, the MP said that breakdown in supply in the form of bursts and leaks in the Pilloor pipeline had become the order of the day. In the last 15 days alone, the supply was affected thrice because of the bursts. This was because of the use of poor quality pipelines. These pipes should be replaced on a warfooting to ensure proper water supply.
