Puducherry: The Pondicherry Institute of Development Research and Action is conducting a three-day workshop for municipal councillors on its premises on Second Cross Street in Jawahar Nagar near here from July 12, its release said on Tuesday. Resource persons would include former Chief Secretary to Puducherry Government R. S. Chari, PMK Member of Parliament M. Ramadoss and professor of Annamalai University R. Radhakrishnan. It would discuss various aspects of municipal administration with specific reference to powers and duties of the elected representatives and the role of local bodies in implementing various schemes. — Special Correspondent
