dated July 12, 1957: South Zonal Council meet

The South Zonal Council was inaugurated in Madras on July 11 by the Union Home Minister, Pandit Pant. This was his first engagement on arrival in Madras by a special plane. The meeting was attended by Messrs. K. Kamaraj, N. Sanjiva Reddi and E.M. Sankaran Nambudiripad, Chief Ministers of Madras, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala respectively.
