Non-stop AI Mumbai-New York flight

New York: In the face of increasing competition from international airlines, Air India will introduce direct non-stop flights between Mumbai and New York from August 1. The flight time will be around 14 hours.

Two other non-stop flights — between New Delhi and New York and Bangalore and San Francisco — will be launched in February next and mid-2008, Regional Director for North America A.K. Mathur said on Tuesday.

Air India currently operates a fleet of 747-400s, 747-400 Combis, 747-200s, 747-300 Combis, 777-200ERs and Airbus 310-300s. — PTI
