BHUBANESWAR: Wire and Wireless India Limited and Ushodaya Enterprises Private Limited have formed a joint venture company, Variety Entertainment Private Limited to introduce cable service in major cities of the State. A release said VEPL services could be obtained either by contacting the local office or service could also be availed through the cable operator affiliated to company. "The company will be providing near about 87 channels of national and regional interest to viewers in the State and will expand it further in near future. The main trunk network will be underground on fiber optic to avoid any disruption in services and will also provide crystal clear picture quality," the company said. While WWIL is formerly Siti Cable Network Limited, the UEPL operates popular regional channels under ETV brand name.
