A programme for SHGs to develop a sound mind

To fight stress: Members participating in a yoga session in Theni on Wednesday.

THENI: A calm mind and a strong body are essential to do things in a perfect manner. Stressing upon this, a programme on meditation and self-realisation through yoga was conducted for members of self-help groups by Sahaja Yoga Meditation Centre and Vivekanandha Youth Association here on Wednesday.

“Meditation will help them tackle tough situations with a calm mind and take the right decisions,” said S. Nagarajan, centre’s district coordinator.

“Besides, we also taught them how yoga would help functioning of their body and mind in perfect harmony. Yoga will also assist every person to realise himself,” he added.

Trainers N. Jothi and M. Palanivel Rajan imparted training to the participants.
