Ferozepur: The body of an eighteen-year-old girl, has been recovered from a canal near Hussaniwala in the district, police said on Tuesday. The body of Harpreet Kaur, a resident of Gokhiwala village, was fished out from the canal, police said. Police said the body of the girl bore marks of sharp-edged weapons and injury marks around the neck. Kaur allegedly had an affair with Harjinder Singh, a resident of Multani gate, Ferozepur, police said. Last time, when Harjinder had gone to meet Harpreet at her residence in Gokhiwala village, both of them were caught by the girl’s father, Tirlok Singh, police claimed.
