Congress leaders for TRCCC meet

Palvai Goverdhan Reddy

HYDERABAD: Amid increasing apprehension that the Opposition parties are getting maximum political mileage by raking up the implementation of G.O. 610, Congress leaders from Telangana have demanded a special meeting of the Telangana Regional Congress Coordination Committee (TRCCC).

After lying low for some time, TRCCC members have decided to raise their voice and deflect the criticism against the Government that it is not sincere about implementation of the G.O.

Senior Congress leaders and MLCs Palvai Goverdhan Reddy, K.R. Amos, Kamalakar Rao and Nethi Vidyasagar dashed off a letter to APCC president K. Keshava Rao on Wednesday demanding that a meeting of the TRCCC be convened immediately.

Mr. Goverdhan Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday that the TRCCC members wanted the APCC chief to convene the meeting to discuss the progress of irrigation projects with special reference to Devadula and Pranahita-Chevella link channel and integration of power generation facilities for lift irrigation projects in the region.

Implementation of six point formula, G.O. 610 and Chief Minister’s assurance on extension of local employment to boards have also been mentioned.
