Indiranagar murder: three teams formed

Staff Reporter

Police yet to get any clues on the motive for murder

‘Murder not linked to dispute with owner of a hotel’

BANGALORE: The police have so far not found any clues to establish the motive behind the murder of Madhusudhan, proprietor of an event management company shot dead at his office in Indiranagar police station limits on Tuesday evening.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Bijay Kumar Singh told The Hindu on Wednesday that three special teams were at work to ascertain the motive and to track down the two suspects.

Madhusudhan (38) was the proprietor of Bangalore Convention and Trade Fair Ltd.

Mr. Singh said Madhusudhan’s murder was not connected with the dispute related to a hotel on Queen’s Road, reportedly owned by the son of a former minister from Kodagu district. Initial reports had said that Madhusudhan was being allegedly threatened by owners of the hotel.

The assailants had shot at Madhusudhan with a .22 or .32 revolver. Two bullets had pierced his body and one had been removed.

The assistance of radiologists was being taken to trace the other bullet, Mr. Singh said.

The assailants were apparently visitors to the office and Madhusudhan had a long conversation with them.
