AN END TO IMPASSE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy addressing Muslims at a mosque on O.P.H. Road regarding the controversy in the construction of a building on a piece of land for Bowring Hospital in Bangalore on Wednesday.
BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Wednesday visited the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospitals to inspect a piece of government land following claims laid on it by some Muslim leaders.
Sources close to Mr. Kumaraswamy told The Hindu that Mr. Kumaraswamy told the Muslim leaders that the Karnataka High Court, in a recent judgment, said the property belonged to the Government. However, the Muslim leaders were free to
submit a memorandum to the government and he would place it before the Cabinet. The property is behind a mosque on OPH Road.
