What they say
Moti Jan
Moti Jan, resident Anandapeta (One Town):
“It has been an ordeal for the past three months. Getting a bucket of water is still a big task for us. Daily, at 4.30 a.m., I cross the road divider on the G.B.C Road and fetch water from the school compound. The only pipeline laid by the GMC has been lying defunct for the past six months and no one has ever bothered to repair this. Our corporator has promised to connect the pipeline to the adjacent lane and supply water, but even that promise is left unfulfilled,” says Moti Jan, a resident of Anandapeta in Old Guntur. The areas in ward numbers 6 to 22 are among the worst affected in the city.
Similar is the woe of Lalapeta residents, who represented to the Mayor.
