CHENNAI: P.S. Senior Secondary School beat Monfort Matriculation School by 29 runs in a TNCA City schools tournament-B. Somasundaram Trophy u-15 match on Tuesday.

P.S. SSS 132 in 27 overs (Kaushik 59, Abdul four for 19) bt Monfort MS 103 in 27.5 overs (Rubesh 25, Rohit Balaji three for 31).

Chettinad Vidyashram 248 for six in 30 overs (M. Kunal Madhan 67, Mohan Babu 63, Abhishek Mehra 32) bt MCC HSS 48 in 18.5 overs (M.S. Sri Mani six for seven).

Modern SSS A 220 for seven in 30 overs (Prasanna 33, Anand 33) bt The Hindu Colony Chellammal Vidyalaya SSS 31 in 18.5 overs (Vijay Anand four for 10, Aswath three for four).

Maharishi Vidya Mandir SSS 123 for nine in 21 overs (Srivatsa Srinivas 33, Ratish Manikandan 25) bt PSBB SSS 101 for nine in 21 overs (N. Vinay Ram 25, S. Sidharth 25).
Sai, Rohit shine

Half-centuries by Sai Rupesh and Rohit Katti and four-wicket hauls by B. Nishanth and S. Vijay were the highlights of the St. Bede’s Centenary Sumeru Soft under-13 cricket tournament matches on Wednesday.

The scores: Santhome 151 for six in 30 overs (K. Vishal 39, Sai Rupesh 76) bt St. John’s ES & JC 72 in 23.4 overs (Weiballint 26, B. Nishanth four for seven, K. Ravikumar three for 15). MoM: B. Nishanth.

St. Mary’s 100 in 30 overs (S. Vijay four for 18, R. Vishal three for 14) lost to PSBB (T. Nagar) 101 for four in 24.4 overs (J.P. Shyam Hari 38 not out, A. Srikiran three for 26). MoM: J.P. Shyam Hari.
Vidya Mandir 99 in 24.4 overs lost to PSBB (K.K. Nagar) 101 for four in 22.4 overs (Karthik Ganesh 26). MoM: V. Adithya PSBB (K.K. Nagar).

MCC HSS 81 for nine in 30 overs (P. Jacob Philip 27, V. Rohit three for four) lost to Hindu HSS 84 without loss in 13.3 overs (Rohit D. Katti 52 not out). MoM: Rohit D. Katti.
Kailasam-Suri pair takes honours

S. Kailasam and T.M. Suri won the T. Nagar Social Club Open pairs event held on Tuesday with a score of 63.07 per cent sitting East-West.

S. Krishnan and T. Subramanian won in the North-South position with a score of 61.17 per cent.

Other placings: North-South: 2. S.K. Chari & K. Natarajan 57.01 per cent; 3. Venkatkrishna & Ravindran 56.25 per cent; East-West: 2. Prashanth & Guthi (IIT) 60.42 per cent; 3. A. Viswan athan & D.V. Ravi 54.36 per cent.
Monica moves up

Monica Sri Hari beat Ankita Sundaram 8-3, to enter the quarterfinals of the SDAT State-ranking Augustine Thomas Cup tennis tournament, held here.
