SHIMOGA: Increase in population has upset the balance between environment and development, Programme Officer of Jana Shikshana Samsthe (JSS) S.Y. Arunadevi has said. She was inaugurating a function organised in connection with World Population Day at Yadehalli in Bhadravati on Wednesday. The function was organised by JSS in association with the District Literacy Mission and Rashtrothan Shishu Mandir. Awareness programmes on population should be carried out throughout the year, she said. President of the Yadehalli Gram Panchayat S.M. Halappa presided over the function. JSS co-programme officer B.
