SecSat at Seagull’s Restaurant today

PUDUCHERRY: Seagull’s Restaurant at the end of Beach Road will host SecSat Pondy on July 14. The programme, which starts at 7 p.m. promises rock music for listeners.

According to a press release from Scene, the organisers, Medium Rare, a group of veteran professionals from Chennai, will play a selection of covers from different genres such as rock, pop and metal. The group plays in leading star hotels in Chennai.

Skrat, a young group from Chennai, which has been winning prizes in a lot of competitions, will also be participating. Skrat also has a couple of own compositions to their credit. From Pondy, Cut Crystls and Cover Story will be performing on that day.

Siddhartha of Scene says that this time listeners might get an overdose of rock music although other genres such as jazz, blues and even Indian music, including ghazals, are played during SecSat. Performers are welcome to play French music as its Bastille Day. Those who want to perform at the event can mail pondyjam@gmail.com
