Four held for traffic hold-up

VILLUPURAM: The police arrested four persons,

S. Sekar (24) of Theerthakulam, E. Elumalai (25), S. Prakash (22) of Rosanai,

and D. Balamurugan (26) of Udungapallam, for obstructing traffic and causing damage to public property at Rosanai near Tindivanam on Thursday. An autorickshaw driver, Pachaiyappan, was roughed up, when he asked the group of persons blocking the way to move. In an ensuing quarrel, the windscreens of two buses were damaged. The traffic was blocked on the thoroughfare for an hour.
