Collector inspects works

Krishnagiri: Collector Santhosh Babu inspected the progress of development works being carried out under the Anaithu Gramam Anna Marumalarchi Thittam in Kaveripattinam block on Friday.

He inspected the progress of road-laying work at Bannihalli at Rs.1.5 lakh. The Collector also reviewed the creation of water harvesting structure at Kuttapatti at an outlay of Rs. 3.5 lakh and construction of 13 group houses at Rs.1.3 lakh.

Mr. Babu also inspected the progress of road-laying work from Papparapatti to Gundavur to a length of 2.4 km at Rs.28.5 lakh. The Collector also inspected renovation works being carried out at the panchayat union middle school in Bannihali.

He directed teachers to ensure that children compulsorily foot wear. They should also ensure that no child remained out-of-school in their catchment area, quality of education and clean surroundings.

The Collector also inspected the construction of storm water drain at Rs.2.5 lakh at Deverahalli panchayat. He told the officials to expedite the works on time.
