Kanpur: A case was registered against seven police personnel on Friday, including a SHO, in a four- month-old rape case following orders of a local court. A woman has alleged that Shivpukar Sonkar, then SHO of Sheshamau, Inspector Yadunath Singh, Brijlal Verma and four others forcefully entered her house and raped her in March this year. She also alleged that police refused to register her complaint and forced to move the court. On her complaint, a local court ordered registration of a case against the police officials. The accused police officials claimed that the allegations against them were false.
