Jogaiah, Harsha Kumar summoned

HYDERABAD: Two days after two Congress MPs from Andhra region filed a petition in the High Court challenging the implementation of GO 610, the Congress high command has summoned them to New Delhi for discussions on July 16. Narsapur MP Ch Harirama Jogaiah and Amalapuram MP G. V. Harsha Kumar had filed a petition in the High Court on Wednesday to cancel GO 610 as it was likely to bring division among the people of the State. The MPs in their petition had made the State and Union Government respondents. The Congress leaders had challenged the recommendations of the one-man Commission on GO 610. They urged the court to declare Hyderabad-free zone.

Mr. Harirama Jogaiah on Friday received a telephone call from AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh’s office asking him and Mr. Harsha Kumar to come to Delhi on July 16. They were asked to get a copy of the affidavit they had filed in the High Court. Talking to reporters, Mr. Harirama Jogaiah reiterated his charge that implementation of GO 610 was causing untold misery to non-locals.
